A handcrafted earthenware serving dish with lid, made in the Netherlands by Royal Goedewaagen using heritage moulds that have shaped the brand’s production for decades. The soft water blue glaze brings a calm, understated colour to the table, highlighting the gentle curves of its silhouette.

Each piece is produced entirely in-house, moving through a considered process of casting, glazing, and multiple firings. Designed for serving and sharing, the lidded form helps retain warmth while the side handles offer ease in presentation, balancing practicality with a quiet sense of refinement.

Artesano

Founded in 1610 in Gouda, Royal Goedewaagen is one of the oldest ceramics manufacturers in Europe, with over four centuries of continuous craftsmanship. Today, the brand remains one of the few that still carries out every step of production in its own factory, from mould making and clay casting to painting, glazing, and firing. Each piece passes through multiple hands and several kiln firings, reflecting a process that values precision, patience, and consistency. Working mainly with locally sourced raw materials, Royal Goedewaagen combines traditional ceramic techniques with modern production methods to create durable, functional objects designed to last. Rooted in heritage but open to innovation, the company continues to preserve and pass on its knowledge to future generations.
