A handcrafted ceramic candle holder made in the Netherlands by Royal Goedewaagen, shaped using heritage moulds that have been part of the factory’s production for decades. The glaze brings warmth and subtlety, allowing the sculpted form and delicate handle detail to stand out with quiet elegance.

Each piece is produced entirely in-house, moving through a careful process of casting, glazing, and multiple firings. Designed with a wide base to catch wax and a central holder for stability, it balances function with a gently decorative presence that feels both traditional and enduring.

Inside the Atelier of Royal Goedewaagen

Founded in 1610 in Gouda, Royal Goedewaagen is one of the oldest ceramics manufacturers in Europe, with over four centuries of continuous craftsmanship. Today, the brand remains one of the few that still carries out every step of production in its own factory, from mould making and clay casting to painting, glazing, and firing. Each piece passes through multiple hands and several kiln firings, reflecting a process that values precision, patience, and consistency.
